Our Congregation Emphasizes the Following

church2

Salvation: Our salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:3closeJohn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (ESV) closeJohn 14:3closeJohn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (ESV) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (ESV) . It also says in the book of Acts, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12closeActs 4:12 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (ESV) closeActs 4:12closeActs 4:12 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (ESV) 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (ESV)

Fellowship: Christians need relationships to grow. We don’t grow in isolation; we spiritually develop in the context of fellowship. “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25closeHebrews 10:25 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (ESV) 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. (ESV)

Prayer: Jesus wants His Church to be known as a House of Prayer: “My house will be called a house of prayer.” Luke 19:46closeLuke 19:46 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.” (ESV) closeLuke 19:46closeLuke 19:46 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.” (ESV) 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.” (ESV) . Jesus gave us a promise: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.” John 15:7closeJohn 15:7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Outreach: We have been commissioned to reach out beyond the walls of our own congregation with the Gospel. This is done the corporate ministry of our congregation and our daily individual witness. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20closeMatthew 28:19-20 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (ESV) closeMatthew 28:19-20closeMatthew 28:19-20 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Family: We recognize the importance of family. That is why we strive to create such a structure in our ministry to assist those who desire a healthy home life. We encourage mothers and fathers to build their home on a solid foundation: “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15closeJoshua 24:15 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (ESV) closeJoshua 24:15closeJoshua 24:15 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. Love one another: Loving one another is not only a command from our Savior; it is the proof of our love for God. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35closeJohn 13:34-35 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (ESV) closeJohn 13:34-35closeJohn 13:34-35 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (ESV) 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (ESV)

Community Minded: We believe in supporting the community we live in. It’s important that we maintain a presence and good reputation, so that is why we support our local block association and contribute to its needs.

Mission Support: Our congregation believes in supporting mission and ministry outside of our own walls. Over the past year, some of our support has gone to Climbing For Christ, Tornado relief for a church in Joblin, Missouri, Harvest International, and United Evangelical Mission in India (India Transformed). Both the men’s ministry and women’s ministry support children in India.
